One single menu activation to get auto IDML backups of your document.
With the menu activated, each time you press Ctrl+S or click on File/Save, an automatic IDML backup version of your document will be saved into a folder called “_bkps” in the same folder level where the current InDesign document is saved in. Good for hard pressure moments (then turn it ON). Irrelevant in a lot of other cases (then turn it OFF).
The new menu item is located under byLFC new top menu in InDesign.
You can place this script file into the “startup scripts” folder in InDesign installation folder (on Windows, for example: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe InDesign 2020\Scripts\startup scripts) or into the User level Scripts folder (just creating a folder called “startup scripts” (not in Scripts panel folder). If you don’t know what I am talking about, but knows how to install InDesign scripts, you can use this amazing Scripts Installer from In-Tools. Or this other one, from Silicon Publishing.
